A native of New York City, Dr. Bruce G. Freund received his Doctor of Dental Surgery from New York University College of Dentistry. For over 25 years he has been in private practice in northern New Jersey, focusing his practice on cosmetic and restorative techniques. He has gained wide respect as an authority in the placement of veneers and has taught his techniques to other dentists. He has also completed an intensive 2 year implantology program at NYU and is qualified to perform both the implant surgery and the restorative prosthetics.
Dr. Freund has received extensive training in all facial cosmetic procedures such as Botox, Dysport, Restylane, Perlane, Juvéderm and Radiesse. He has taught hundreds of healthcare professionals and is one of the few certified trainers in the US for Allergan, the makers of Botox and Juvéderm and Medicis, the makers of Dysport, Restylane and Perlane. He is co-founder and CEO of the American Academy of Facial Cosmetics- an academy whose mission it is to educate and train healthcare professionals in facial injection procedures and techniques. Dr. Freund has been a clinical instructor at both NYU College of Dentistry and Mt. Sinai Hospital. He has served as a forensic consultant to the New York City Medical Examiner’s office and worked extensively in the dental identification unit after the September 11, 2001 terrorist attacks. Dr. Freund holds memberships in many associations and societies including the American Dental Association, New Jersey Dental Association, Bergen County Dental Society, American Academy of Cosmetic Dentistry, Academy of General Dentistry, Academy of Computerized Dentistry, International Congress of Oral Implantologists, Academy of Lasers in Dentistry and the New York Society of Forensic Dentistry. For the years 2002-2010, Dr. Freund has been named one of “America’s Top Dentists” in a survey taken by Consumer’s Research Council of America. He has appeared on new shows such as WNBC’S “Weekend Today” and on News 10 NJ’s “Take Ten” as a guest expert. He is presently on staff at Holy Name Hospital in Teaneck, NJ.
